Ready for Culture Crush

Tomorrow we'll be trekking from Cork to Dublin for the inaugural Culture Crush event.
Culture Crush is a new event bringing together a broad mix of professionals in the creative sectors; Film, TV, Animation, Games, Music, Immersive, Visual & Performing Arts & more. It's organised by Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet with the theme for 2023 in: Intersection of Creativity & Tech.
We will be discussing the impact of technology, including motion capture and AI in the arts. While I'm looking forward to seeing names from screens in person, I do want to find out how motion capture in conjunction with live stage presence worked out for the shows conducted by Jo Mangan of The Performance Corporation earlier this year. I also want to ask Gareth Lee of Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet and Ronan McCabe of Animation Ireland , about how rapid animation development using motion capture streaming into 3D real-time engines such as Unreal Engine would alter both the storyboard elements of animation design and training.
Why? In the last 48 hours, the landscape of the Irish television industry has fundamentally altered, and the need for collaboration of all aspects of animation and development is going to be paramount. And, well, the timing of Culture Crush could not be better.
